I haven't touched Deviant Art in a while, and it seems like maybe I should for my friends that actually still use this thing. Its been a long year, filled with a lot of drama and happiness. I can't complain. From all the crap that happened. I got back and experienced a lot of things that are helping me become a better person as well as artist. I'd have to say that this year is by far the post productive and interesting and I couldn't be happier with the results. In short....here's bit of what happen....

1. broke up with my ex
2. Went out on St.Patties Day with my pookie and discovered the awesomeness that is the
Velcro Pygmies
3. Went to Wrestlemania XXV and Raw
4. Realized that the love of my life was one of my best friends
5. Went on a short-lived Road Trip with my best bud John.
6. Went to Disneyland for the first time in my life
7. Visited Theresa and Ben at the military base in 29 Palms
8. Watched my "Cow" Meagan get married.
9. Went on the greatest Road Trip ever with: Izzy, Mike, John, Jackie, Josh to Las Vegas/San
Diego.
10.Got wasted for the first time in my life in SD thanks to Ale.
11. Came back and mourned for my baby Taz.
12. Went to see Def Leppard at CWP
13. Went and saw Incubus at CWP about a week and a half later
14. Got the Strippers Lie website up and running.
15. Had the greatest BDay every with my boyfriend, bf Meg, and family. Then a great night with my friends over at Sherlocks with my boys Strippers Lie.
16. Got a new awesome job over at 3B studios making $$$$$$$
17. Went and saw Kings of Leon at the Toyota Center.

I'm having a great year and upgrading like a mother fucka. I'm super hapy with life and got a lot of new things happening. And the year STILL isn't over....

I must admit, the year started off kinda crappy for me, but I convinced myself that it could only get better. I've been doing a lot of drawing and vectoring lately. Hopefully in the near future, I will be redoing my website with the help of my buddy Josh, getting some flash vids in there. Until then, I'll be updating my deviant pretty frequently.

On a side note!!

I WILL BE GOING TO COMIC-CON THIS YEAR!!!!!
We are going to have a blast road tripping this year.

So I'm done! Goodbye Art Institute, hello world for all eternity! I have finally escaped the dungeon known as AI, I've already got a crap load of stuff that I want to do now that I've got a shit load of crap on my hands. I worked my ass off on portfolio show and it paid off cause I won Best In Show. Hurray for Melanie!!! I'm super excited, I pushed myself and it paid off. I want to thank all my friends who have been dealing with my moodiness as of late due to graduation preparations and now its smooth sailing from here!!! I've got a list of shit to do and if any of my buddies want to join in let me know!!!

2. Start taking violin lessons
3. Buy tickets for Wrestlemania XXV next year
4. Start saving for Comic Con SD next year
5. Save money for Siggraph in New Orleans
6. Work on some of my own fun projects
7. Take some professional pictures
8. Go to the club a little more often
9. Get and play Silent Hill: Homecoming

My leave of absense from deviant wasn't of my own free-will, let's just the worse week started last Tuesday.
I awoke Tuesday morning to discover that we didn't have the internet. Although this partially me and my roomies fault for not paying it (due to the lack of money we have) it's still not the best position in the world. I had just received an email earlier from a contractor who wanted me to do some work for him, and it figured that comcast would decide the day after I emailed this man that they would cut me off. I spent half my time at the school trying to get back with him and the other half calling my boyfriend at work and asking him to check my email and see if I had gotten any responses. Then that SOB hurricane IKE hit, knocked out my electricity and water, making me retreat to my hometown of Port Lavaca where internet is few and far between. I'm still out of electricity and the only way I'm getting internet now is cause I'm staying over at a friends house, until they decide to take their happy asses to my house and turn on the electricity.

Until then who knows what's going down...

That's about all I can say. from beginning to end it's got you thinking and wondering, and the ending is classic. Classic in the way you won't believe it. If you haven't read it-PLEASE DO! Anyone who's planning on seeing the movie should do it. Its an amazing read!!!
